Dublin, Ireland, 26 September, 2006 - Azur Pharma Limited ("Azur") today announced that it has appointed Mr Fintan Keegan as Senior Vice President for Technical Operations with responsibility for Technical, Quality and Supply chain functions. Mr Keegan has extensive pharmaceutical experience in senior roles most recently as Vice President for Quality at Elan Corporation. He previously worked with Wyeth and with Merck Sharpe and Dohme.

He brings over 20 years of experience in manufacturing, technical and quality operations in both the European and the U.S markets. His appointment reflects our belief in the value of the acquisition opportunities which we are evaluating and our plan to build out a world class operational infrastructure. Fintan will initially focus on supply chain management for Gastrocrom® and diligence activities. Azur purchased Gastrocrom in January 2006 and the product has performed strongly since its acquisition", commented Mr. Seamus Mulligan, Azur Pharma’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
