Dublin, Ireland, April 11, 2006 – Azur Pharma Limited (“Azur Pharma”) today announced that it has appointed Mr Michael Kelly as Senior Vice President for Commercial Operations in the United States. Mr Kelly has extensive pharmaceutical experience in senior roles most recently as Vice President of Commercial Operations for Guilford Pharmaceuticals and previously as Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing for Viropharma Incorporated.

His extensive sales and marketing experience will assist in our diligence activities on potential acquisitions and subsequently in the commercial management of the products we acquire, including Gastrocrom® which we acquired in January 2006.
