Dublin, Ireland, March 9, 2007 - Azur Pharma Limited ("Azur") today announced that Mr. Anthony Tebbutt has joined its Board of Directors.
Mr. Tebbutt has held various senior level sales, marketing and executive management positions in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently he was President of UCB Inc. ("UCB"), the U.S. affiliate of the global Belgian biopharmaceutical company. During his 10 year tenure at UCB, its U.S. pharmaceutical revenues grew tenfold to over $1 billion. He oversaw the launch of Keppra® (levetiracetam) which is today a leading therapy in epilepsy, and several co-promotions most noticeably the partnership with Pfizer Inc. on Zyrtec® (cetirizine HCl). Prior to joining UCB, Mr. Tebbutt worked at Eli Lilly and Company, and Syntex Corporation. Mr. Tebbutt holds a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University and a MBA from Stanford University. He has served as a board member of various Pharma industry organizations including the National Pharmaceutical Council and the Georgia Biomedical Partnership.

In addition, Azur today announced that Gil Golden, MD, PhD, and Matt Wiley have been appointed Senior Director of Medical Affairs and Senior Director of Marketing, respectively. Dr. Golden was most recently Director of Medical Affairs for Pharmion Corporation and previously was Director of Medical Affairs for Guilford Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Wiley was most recently Director of Marketing for MGI Pharma Inc and previously was a senior marketing manager for Salix Pharmaceuticals Inc.
